The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Healthcare Commission has released its annual performance report for the fiscal year from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026.

According to Commission spokesperson Azam Rehman, 2,574 new healthcare establishments were registered during the year, bringing the total number of registered healthcare facilities across the province to 23,041.

The report states that despite the government's austerity measures, the Commission inspected 28,085 healthcare establishments across the province. During these inspections, 5,696 illegal healthcare facilities were sealed, while 11,993 establishments were served notices to comply with legal requirements. By comparison, 1,491 illegal healthcare facilities were sealed during the 2024–25 fiscal year.

The report further revealed that 394 healthcare establishments underwent licensing assessments over the past year. Of these, 154 facilities that met the required healthcare standards were granted full licences. Since the licensing process began in 2023, a total of 685 healthcare establishments have been evaluated, with 271 receiving full licences.

The Commission also organised 30 training programmes during the year, providing healthcare quality training to 658 healthcare professionals. Following the completion of training, 569 healthcare establishments were issued provisional licences.

According to the report, the Commission received 1,158 complaints over the past year, of which 1,105 were resolved.

Director Operations Arslan Ahmed Khan expressed satisfaction with the Commission's annual performance, stating that ensuring the provision of safe and quality healthcare services to the public remains the Commission's top priority. He added that the figures presented in the report reflect the Commission's effective performance.
