A suspect involved in the brutal murder of a five-year-old girl in Bajaur's Mamund tehsil has been arrested. District Police Officer (DPO) Waqas Rafiq confirmed the arrest while speaking to TNN, stating that the suspect has been shifted to Khar Headquarters Police Station for further investigation.
The tragic incident took place on the evening of February 19 in the Meena Mamund area, where the young girl was tortured and killed.
Following the incident, DPO Waqas Rafiq formed investigative teams under the supervision of SP Investigation Naveed Khan. The investigation used modern forensic techniques, and DPO Rafiq personally oversaw it.

According to the police, the arrested suspect has been identified as Bilal, who is reportedly a close relative of the victim.
In a separate incident, a woman shot and killed her husband, Shamal Khan, in the Maday Khel area of Batkhela, Malakand.
According to Levies sources, the deceased was accused of murdering his father-in-law some time ago.
Reportedly, the woman lured her husband home before opening fire on him, killing him on the spot. After committing the crime, she voluntarily surrendered to the authorities. Levies officials have collected evidence from the scene and launched an investigation into the incident.
