PESHAWAR: Authorities in multiple districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have imposed a ban on police and government employees attending political gatherings and rallies.
According to official notifications issued in Swat, Malakand, Dir, Buner, and other districts, government officials, including police personnel, are strictly prohibited from participating in or facilitating political events. Several universities across the province have also issued similar directives banning their staff from attending political gatherings.

Meanwhile, PTI’s core committee members have expressed reservations over these notifications.
However, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur dismissed the reports as baseless, stating, “No such decision has been made. I will lead the rally as usual, and these claims hold no truth.”
