PARACHINAR: An unidentified group of armed men allegedly abducted a Station House Officer (SHO) from a mosque in Tadarli area of Central Kurram and shifted him to an undisclosed location, police said.
According to police sources, SHO Muhammadi Khan had gone to the mosque in Tadarli to offer prayers when armed men allegedly abducted him.

Police suspect that the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) may be behind the abduction. Efforts are underway to recover the abducted officer and take action against those responsible, police said.
Social activist Shabbir Sajdi said militancy in Central Kurram had badly affected the law and order situation across the district. He said the main highway in Central Kurram had remained closed for nearly two years due to the presence of militants, causing serious difficulties for local residents.
