Six terrorists were killed during an operation conducted by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Lower Dir.
According to the CTD, the six militants killed in the operation were involved in an attack on a police checkpoint and the murder of police officer Muhammad Ismail.
The CTD stated that six Kalashnikov rifles and three hand grenades were recovered from the terrorists. A search operation is ongoing to apprehend the militants who managed to escape.

Meanwhile, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and the CTD for the successful operation against the militants.

He said that the brave personnel had foiled the nefarious designs of the militants and that the nation takes pride in the courage and dedication of the CTD and police officers.
