Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that if the opposition wants to determine which government was legal and which was illegal, then investigations should begin from 2018.
Addressing the National Assembly, he stated that inquiries should start with the 2018 elections so that all facts can come to light. Responding to Opposition Leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai, the Prime Minister said that if questions are being raised about the 2024 elections, then the 2018 elections should also be reviewed.

Shehbaz Sharif said that those who call the current government illegal should also explain whether allegations of rigging were not made regarding the 2018 elections.
He further stated that if the government formed after the 2018 elections is considered legitimate, then the current government should also be accepted as legitimate.
