Dera Ismail Khan Police have arrested two suspects wanted in a case registered under the Ghag Act and recovered two pistols along with 47 rounds of .30-bore ammunition from their possession.
According to the Dera Police spokesperson, acting on the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Ziauddin Ahmed to intensify operations against criminal elements, SHO University Police Station Ataullah Khan conducted a successful raid and arrested the suspects identified as Warishem Gul, son of Samar Gul, and Muhammad Khalil, son of Warishem Gul, both residents of Jandola.

Police said the suspects have been sent behind bars after completion of legal formalities. During the operation, officers also recovered two .30-bore pistols and 47 rounds of ammunition from their possession.
Dera Police stated that legal action against those involved in crimes against women's rights, particularly the outdated practice of Ghag, will continue without discrimination to uphold the rule of law and protect the lives, property, dignity, and honour of citizens.
