Following reports of a possible military operation against militants in Central Kurram, large-scale displacement of local residents from various areas continues.
Tribal elders have urged the government to devise a proper plan to support the affected families.
According to official sources, after repeated militant attacks on security forces, authorities decided to clear the area. As a result, a large number of residents from Tor Ghar, Sanda Ghar Mela, Ali Sherzai Mela, and adjoining villages have started moving to safer locations.

Locals said no clear strategy or relief plan has yet been announced by the government for displaced families. However, Al-Khidmat Foundation has been providing food and essential aid to the affected people, while most families have taken shelter with relatives in Lower Kurram.
Meanwhile, a high-level jirga of tribal elders is being held in Kurram to develop a joint strategy for the rehabilitation and assistance of the displaced population.
On the other hand, PDMA District Coordinator Shiraz Bacha said temporary arrangements have been made for displaced families in the Tall area, and preparations for a relief package are underway.
