Police in Miranshah, North Waziristan, have swiftly arrested the prime suspect, Banat Gul, in connection with the alleged murder of his wife and 16-year-old daughter. The suspect was taken into custody along with the alleged murder weapon.

According to police, the incident occurred on Thursday evening. The suspect is accused of opening fire during a domestic dispute, killing his wife and teenage daughter. After the incident, he reportedly remained at his home.

Police conducted a raid on Friday morning, arresting the suspect from his residence and recovering the alleged weapon used in the crime. 

He has been shifted to jail for legal proceedings, while an FIR has been registered and further investigation is underway.

According to sources, the suspect was also reportedly addicted to "ice" (crystal methamphetamine). However, police have not officially confirmed this claim, stating that the facts will be established only after the investigation is completed.
