Bannu: Police say unidentified armed men opened fire on a private ambulance near the Khojri area along the CPEC Circular Road in Bannu city, killing all four people on board.

According to police and local sources, the incident occurred on June 26 while the ambulance was travelling on the CPEC Circular Road. Gunmen attacked the vehicle with gunfire, resulting in the deaths of all four occupants.

Officials said the bodies have been shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, Bannu, for legal formalities and post-mortem examinations. Authorities added that the process of identifying the victims is underway.

Bannu police said the motive behind the attack remains unclear. However, preliminary information suggests that the incident appears to be an act of terrorism. Officials said investigations are ongoing to determine all aspects of the case, while efforts are also underway to trace and arrest the attackers.

No armed group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack, and security agencies have not released any further details.
