Seven people were affected after a glacier burst on the Falaksar Trek in Matiltan, a mountainous area of Kalam in Swat.

According to initial reports, three people were injured, one person has been reported dead, and a search operation is underway to locate one missing individual.

Rescue 1122 said the incident occurred at around 7pm on Saturday. The injured were provided first aid by the rescue medical team at Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Kalam, before being shifted to Central Hospital Saidu Sharif for further treatment.

The injured have been identified as 40-year-old Hawar Hussain, 22-year-old Haris, and 27-year-old Haroon, all residents of Rawalpindi.

Rescue officials said three other members of the affected group remained safe, while search efforts are continuing for Syed Ali Shah, a resident of Khwazakhela. The operation is being carried out by the district administration and Rescue 1122 teams.

Rescue 1122 added that the incident occurred in a remote and difficult-to-access area, making rescue operations challenging. The search operation remains ongoing, and further updates will be shared as more information becomes available.
