Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf has announced that the Hajj process has been fully digitized, allowing pilgrims to submit their applications from home.

Addressing a press conference in the federal capital, Sardar Yousaf said the Hajj process had been completely digitized to save pilgrims from waiting and standing in long queues.

He said around 400,000 registered pilgrims would be able to submit their applications from home. Pilgrims will have three payment options: they can pay the Hajj expenses through a credit card or PSID, or print the challan form and deposit the amount in cash.

The minister said the government Hajj scheme has a quota of 107,526 pilgrims. Collection of the first installment will begin on August 17, while the second installment will be collected in October. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and the application process will close once the quota is filled.

The federal minister further said private pilgrims would also be able to select a private Hajj operator through the Pak Hajj app. He advised pilgrims not to make direct payments to private Hajj operators.
