The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rainfall across most parts of the country over the next three days, prompting the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to issue a high alert.

According to the Meteorological Department, rain is expected in various regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab from August 21 to 24. The NDMA has warned that the heavy downpours may lead to rising water levels in local streams and an increased flow in the Kabul River.
