Journalists and Social Media Activists Explore the Impact of Gomal Zam Dam

South Waziristan's Mehsud Press Club, in collaboration with Gomal Scouts, organized a special tour for over 70 journalists and social media activists participating in a short video documentary competition under the Mehsud Press Club's banner. The purpose of the visit was to raise awareness about the significance of Gomal Zam Dam, its benefits, and its positive impact on the region.

During the visit, WAPDA's Resident Engineer, Nauman Khan, briefed the participants at the Gomal Zam Dam viewpoint. He provided detailed insights into the construction of the dam, its agricultural benefits, electricity generation, and the improvement of underground water levels. 

In addition, representatives from the Department of Agriculture and other government institutions shared information regarding the dam's relevance from their respective sectors.

The participants appreciated the initiative taken by the Mehsud Press Club and Gomal Scouts, which allowed them to gain comprehensive knowledge about such an important project. One social media activist commented, "Even though we live in this region, we were not fully aware of the dam's importance. Today's visit has greatly enhanced our understanding."

The President of Mehsud Press Club expressed his thoughts, stating that projects like the Gomal Zam Dam play a crucial role in the development of South Waziristan. He extended his gratitude to the Commandant of Gomal Scouts and all the relevant authorities for their special cooperation in organizing the visit.
