The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has announced the formation of the Public Accounts Committee and 11 other standing committees. According to the official notification, the Public Accounts Committee will be headed by the Speaker of the Provincial Assembly, while Deputy Speaker Suraya Bibi will serve as the Chairperson of the Privileges Committee.
The notification further specifies that the Committee on Law Reforms and Subordinate Legislation will be chaired by Speaker Babar Saleem Swati. Similarly, Deputy Speaker Suraya Bibi will be an ex-officio member of the House and Library Committee.
The Standing Committee on Agriculture will be chaired by MPA Muhammad Abdul Salam, while Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani will head the Standing Committee on Communications. MPA Muhammad Anwar Khan has been appointed as the Chairman of the Committee on Higher Education, Archives, and Libraries.

Additionally, MPA Muhammad Arif will lead the Committee on Climate Change, Forests, Environment, and Wildlife. Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani will also chair the Standing Committee on Health, while Tariq Saeed will head the Committee on Home and Tribal Affairs.
Tufail Anjum has been appointed Chairman of the Standing Committee on the Irrigation Department, and Riaz Khan will lead the Committee on Local Government and Rural Development. These changes aim to enhance the effectiveness of the Provincial Assembly's performance.
