A massive corruption scandal has surfaced in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, revealing the disappearance of 1,700 metric tons of wheat from the Azakhel Storage in Nowshera.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Anti-Corruption Department has confirmed that 17,000 bags of wheat have gone missing from the storeroom, causing a financial loss of approximately Rs. 197.7 million to the government treasury.

According to sources, 3,309 empty wheat sacks have also mysteriously disappeared from the cellar. Following a thorough investigation, cases have been registered against the Storage and Enforcement Officer (NRC), an Assistant Food Controller, and three Food Inspectors.
The Anti-Corruption Department has filed cases against six officials, arresting two suspects, while further investigations are underway.
