MARDAN: Three daughters of prominent Mardan trader Haji Farman Ali have accused some of their relatives of allegedly occupying, tampering with records of, and illegally transferring and selling inherited properties worth millions of rupees.

Anila Farman, Mehreen Farman and Ayesha Farman made the allegations during a press conference at the Mardan Press Club, where their father, Haji Farman Ali, was also present. They appealed to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Provincial Minister Tariq Arain, Commissioner Mardan, DIG Mardan and Deputy Commissioner Mardan to take immediate notice of the matter and ensure justice.

The sisters alleged that some relatives took advantage of their father's illness and weakened condition and made decisions concerning family and inherited property that allegedly deprived them of their legal rights.

According to the women, the property owned and inherited by their father includes valuable assets in Khwaja Ganj Bazaar and other areas of Mardan, with a combined value running into millions of rupees. They alleged that illegal transfers, alterations in documents and unauthorized sale of different portions of the property had taken place.

The sisters said they had serious concerns regarding 10 different properties and assets linked to the inheritance. They called for a comprehensive investigation of the property records, transfer documents and other relevant paperwork, including forensic and legal scrutiny, to determine the facts.

Anila, Mehreen and Ayesha said they were legal heirs to their father's property and would not accept any attempt to deprive them of their inheritance through unlawful means.

They urged the authorities to investigate the property records and alleged irregularities in transfers and documentation, and to take legal action against anyone found responsible.

The women said the issue was not merely a family property dispute but also concerned women's legal rights to inheritance. They called on the government and relevant institutions to intervene and provide them with protection and justice.

The family also appealed to the chief minister, Provincial Minister Tariq Arain, Commissioner Mardan, DIG Mardan, Deputy Commissioner and other concerned authorities to conduct an impartial investigation into the matter and thoroughly examine the alleged illegal transfers and documents.

The sisters said they were also approaching the relevant courts to secure their legal rights and would continue their legal battle if necessary.
