Militants Attack Security Checkposts in North Waziristan, Four Soldiers Martyred

In the retaliatory operation, 13 militants were killed, while several others sustained injuries. However, the attackers managed to retrieve the bodies of their fallen comrades and evacuate their wounded fighters.

MIRANSHAH: In a coordinated overnight assault, militants launched simultaneous attacks on six security checkposts in North Waziristan's Miranshah Tehsil, resulting in the martyrdom of four soldiers and injuries to 13 others.

According to security sources, the militants used both heavy and light weapons to target the 

Spelga, Gosh, Tapi, Barwana, Pipana Lower, and Pipana Top checkposts. The fallen soldiers were identified as Havaldar Yasir, Naik Mubeen, Sepoy Nadeem, and Sepoy Aqeel. The injured personnel were rushed to Miranshah Headquarters Hospital, while those in critical condition were shifted to CMH Bannu for advanced medical care.

Following the attack, security forces sealed all entry and exit points in North Waziristan and reinforced their presence in the region. A search operation is underway to track down the fleeing militants.
