BANNU: The widow of martyred police officer Abdul Rehman, along with her 10 children, is facing severe financial hardship as she has yet to receive the Shuhada (Martyrs) Package or her late husband’s pending salary.
In a letter addressed to senior police officials, including the District Police Officer (DPO) of Lakki Marwat, Regional Police Officer (RPO) of Bannu, and Inspector General (IG) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Naheed Bibi detailed her struggles. She stated that she has been running from one office to another and taking loans to survive, but her pleas have gone unheard.
Her husband, Abdul Rehman, was posted at Saddar Police Station in Bannu and was martyred by terrorists in September 2024 while leaving a mosque. Despite six months passing since his martyrdom, his family has yet to receive any financial assistance.
