NADRA offices across Kurram district have resumed operations after remaining closed for 16 consecutive days, following the intervention of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi.

According to NADRA sources, the offices had been shut in protest after unidentified armed men attacked a NADRA team vehicle in the Tardalai area of Central Kurram on July 20.

Police said no casualties were reported in the attack, although the vehicle sustained damage. Following the incident, NADRA employees suspended services and closed offices across the district.

Social activist Agha Muzammil Hussain said the prolonged closure caused significant hardship for residents, who were unable to access essential services, including the issuance of Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs), B-Forms and other documentation.

He said citizens had been visiting NADRA offices daily during the closure but were unable to receive any services.

Governor Kundi's Press Secretary, Muhammad Daud Khan, said the governor took notice of the issue after learning about it through media reports. He said the governor directed the Director General of NADRA to immediately reopen the offices to ensure uninterrupted public services.

Following the directive, NADRA offices across Kurram have resumed operations and are now functioning normally.
