The Ministry of Interior has decided to implement a new procedure for the arrival and departure of Afghan citizens to Pakistan.
According to sources, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) will take custody of Afghan refugees' Proof of Registration (POR) cards and Afghan Citizen Cards (ACC) at the Torkham border.
Sources explained that upon a voluntary return to Afghanistan, a Voluntary Repatriation Form (VRF) will be issued, allowing individuals to receive a grant in Afghanistan upon presenting this form.

Additionally, the FIA will take custody of the cards of those returning to Afghanistan without UNHCR assistance, punching the cards before keeping them. The cards taken into FIA custody will be permanently blocked by NADRA, and once a card is punched or in the custody of the FIA, it will not be returned.
This new method aims to enhance the monitoring and regulation of Afghan citizens entering and leaving Pakistan.
