Security forces killed four terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in the Spinwam area of North Waziristan, including terrorist ringleader Umar alias Jan Mir.

According to security sources, the operation was carried out on the basis of secret intelligence. Among those killed was a key commander, Umar alias Jan Mir, who was the mastermind behind attacks on security forces and civilians.

Security sources said a bounty of 3 million rupees had been placed on the dead terrorist. A total of four terrorists were killed in the operation.

Sources further stated that Umar alias Jan Mir had established underground bunkers, tunnels, and planted improvised explosive devices (IEDs) around the area of Bobali Mosque in Spinwam.
