Operation Shaaban, launched by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC), and Balochistan Police following the terrorist attack on the Mangi Dam Police Station, is ongoing.

According to security sources, 13 more militants were killed during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of militants killed in Operation Shaaban to 39.

Security sources said that, separate from Operation Shaaban, a terrorist attack on a police station in Khuzdar earlier today was also successfully repelled.

The sources added that military and FC operations resulted in the killing of eight militants, while reports indicate that another five to six militants were killed in helicopter operations.

According to security sources, the cordon around militants in the rugged mountainous areas has been further tightened during Operation Shaaban. They said that security forces had already killed 26 militants on July 6 and 7 during the operation.

Security sources further stated that since July 5, a total of 75 militants have been killed in Operation Shaaban and other intelligence-based operations.
