Unknown masked men opened fire on the house of Alam Khan Afridi, PRO to Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Dr Mian Saeed in Peshawar, leaving him seriously injured.

According to police, the attackers first opened heavy fire from outside the house last night and later entered the house and continued firing.

Alam Khan Afridi sustained injuries in the attack and was shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.

Police said the attackers fled after the shooting, while a search for the suspects and an investigation into the incident are underway.
