NOWSHERA: A police constable returning from polio duty was critically injured after masked assailants on a motorcycle opened fire in the Umaray Kalay area of Akora Khattak.
According to DSP Akora Zahid Alam, Constable Fida Muhammad sustained severe injuries in the attack but managed to return fire, forcing the attackers to flee.

The injured officer was immediately shifted to Qazi Hussain Ahmad Medical Complex, where his condition is reported to be critical.
