Polio Worker Dies Due to Heat in Nowshera; Locals Demand Compensation for Her Family

Shabana Badr, a mother of three young children, was serving as a dedicated social worker in the polio eradication drive.

In Nowshera's Nizampur area, a female polio worker, Shabana Badr, tragically passed away due to extreme heat while on duty. 

According to sources, she fell ill suddenly during the ongoing polio campaign in Union Council Nizampur and was rushed to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital by Rescue 1122, where doctors confirmed her death.

Shabana Badr, a mother of three young children, was serving as a dedicated social worker in the polio eradication drive. Locals have called on the provincial government to honor her sacrifice by granting a Shuhada package to her family.

The polio campaign in Nowshera began on September 9 and will continue until September 13.
