An FIR has been registered against seven people in connection with the killing of a 22-year-old woman and a police officer in Dasu, the headquarters of Upper Kohistan district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.

According to police, preliminary investigations suggest that the woman's family suspected she had a relationship with the police officer. Acting on this suspicion, the woman's husband, father, brother, and other suspects allegedly shot and killed her.

Police said the police officer was allegedly lured to Dasu, where he was assaulted before being killed with a sharp-edged weapon.

According to police, the slain officer had been married only a few days earlier. As the victim's family declined to pursue the case, police registered the FIR against all seven suspects on behalf of the state and have initiated further investigation.
