SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: Six police personnel, including Sararogha Station House Officer (SHO) Ahmad Shah, who were abducted a day earlier, have been released safely, according to local and police sources.

Sources said that tribal elders played a key role in securing the release of the kidnapped officers through successful negotiations with the abductors. Following the talks, SHO Ahmad Shah and the other police personnel safely returned to their homes.

Police sources stated that militants had abducted SHO Ahmad Shah and five other police officials in the Sararogha area of South Waziristan.

The release was made possible through the efforts of local elders, who mediated between the parties. However, the terms and conditions agreed upon during the negotiations have not yet been disclosed.

Residents of the area expressed relief and satisfaction over the safe return of all the abducted police personnel, including SHO Ahmad Shah.
