Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Rain, strong winds, and thunderstorms are expected across most districts on Friday and Saturday, with the possibility of hailstorms and heavy downpours in some areas.

According to the Meteorological Department, rain is forecast in most areas of Chitral, Upper and Lower Dir, Swat, Buner, Malakand, Shangla, Upper and Lower Kohistan, Kolai-Palas, Battagram, Torghar, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Charsadda, Peshawar, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Kurram, Orakzai, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Tank, Dera Ismail Khan, and North and South Waziristan.

The report adds that hailstorms and heavy rainfall may occur at some locations, which could disrupt daily life. There is a risk of landslides in mountainous areas, while heavy rains may also lead to flooding in local streams and flash floods.

Additionally, strong winds, hail, and lightning may damage weak structures such as electricity poles, billboards, and solar panels, and standing crops may also be affected.

Tourists and travelers have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel and take precautionary measures.

During the past 24 hours, most districts of the province also experienced rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms, with hail reported in some areas, making the weather pleasant.
