In a welcome development for Pakistani travelers, Sweden has announced the resumption of its visa services in Islamabad, following bilateral political consultations between the two countries.
According to the spokesperson for Pakistan's Foreign Office, the decision came after a meeting held on July 2 in Stockholm between officials of the foreign ministries of Pakistan and Sweden. The move will facilitate Pakistani citizens seeking short-term visits to Sweden.
Starting from July 7, 2025, Pakistani nationals will be able to apply for Schengen visas for stays up to 90 days directly from Pakistan.
