KHYBER: In the Bara area of District Khyber, a firing incident over a land dispute within the jurisdiction of Bara Police Station in Bar Qambar Khel Amn Chowk left three people dead and two others injured, according to sources.

Police and local sources said the incident took place between rival groups reportedly related as cousins, over an ongoing land dispute. 

As a result of the exchange of fire, Farhad son of Badshah, a woman identified as the wife of Asghar, and Aftab son of Asghar were killed on the spot.

Two others, Asghar and his daughter Ms. (B), sustained injuries in the incident. They were initially shifted to Dogra Hospital for first aid and later referred to Hayatabad Medical Complex, where they are under treatment.

The incident triggered panic in the area, while police have launched an investigation into the matter.
