PESHAWAR: Traders in Qissa Khwani Bazaar staged a shutter-down strike to protest against the administration’s decision to allow parking in front of their shops, claiming that it has severely impacted their businesses.
The protesting shopkeepers argued that parking congestion has not only disrupted business but also diminished the historic market’s vibrancy.

They stated that long queues of vehicles have obstructed traffic flow, making it difficult for customers to shop and affecting commercial activities.
The traders demanded that the parking policy be revoked immediately to restore normal business operations and ease traffic congestion in the area.
