In the Hangu area of Kohat, a police officer was fatally shot by unidentified assailants. The deceased officer has been identified as Asif Khan.
According to sources, Asif Khan was stationed at the police station situated in Mills Area. Rescue personnel arrived at the scene promptly and transferred the body to KDA Hospital.

Following the shooting, police immediately cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation.
This incident comes on the heels of another tragic event, where a police officer was killed and two others were critically injured in a shooting at a police post in the Takht Bhai ruins of Mardan just the day before.
