In Bannu’s Domel tehsil, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and police conducted a joint operation against terrorists in various areas, killing two terrorists.

According to police, the operation was launched following increased terrorist movement in the area and an attack on a police post. The bodies of the two terrorists killed during the operation have been taken into police custody.

Police said five personnel were injured in firing by the terrorists and were shifted to hospital. The injured personnel were identified as Constables Maqbool Khan, Sakeenullah Shah, Fareed Khan, Aurangzeb Khan and Shaheenullah.

Police said the operation against the terrorists is still underway, while sounds of gunfire and occasional small explosions continue to be heard in the area.
