Frequent Road Accidents in Bara Spark Safety Concerns Over Unlicensed and Underage Drivers

Residents reported that the Bara to Dogra Alam Gudar road witnesses small and large accidents daily, but the concerned authorities have not taken effective action to address the issue.

Three people were killed and five others injured in a road accident in the Alam Gudar area of Bara yesterday. The accident occurred when a public transport vehicle went out of control and collided with other vehicles parked on the roadside.

According to residents, many public transport drivers in Bara lack valid driving licenses, with many of them being underage boys driving rickshaws and other vehicles. This has made road accidents and the loss of precious lives a common occurrence on Bara's roads.

Residents reported that the Bara to Dogra Alam Gudar road witnesses small and large accidents daily, but the concerned authorities have not taken effective action to address the issue.

Locals also noted that in other areas of Bara, such as Akakhel, Bar Qambarkhel, Malikdin Khel, Shalobar, and the Tirah Valley, many public transport drivers are either underage or unlicensed, leading to an increase in accidents.

The local community has urged traffic authorities, the Transport Department, and other relevant agencies to conduct checks on public transport in Alam Gudar and other affected areas and to take strict action against those operating vehicles illegally
