In response to the recent surge in terrorist activities, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has urged its employees to exercise extreme caution.
The Interior Department issued a statement highlighting the increasing frequency of kidnappings and killings of government officials in the Bannu Division. As a result, a travel advisory has been issued for all government employees.
The directive noted that the overall threat level has escalated significantly due to the rise in terrorist activities, assassination attempts, and abductions targeting law enforcement agencies and security forces personnel. There have been numerous reports of personnel being abducted or killed, including those on leave. These incidents have been continuously reported in the areas of Tank, DI Khan, Lakki Marwat, and Bannu.
The Interior Department warned that it is particularly dangerous for government employees to travel to their native areas during Muharram. Authorities are advised to implement stringent security measures and ensure that special precautions are taken during travel.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government emphasized the importance of vigilance and adherence to safety protocols to mitigate the risks associated with the current security situation.
