Global football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has announced his intention to live in Saudi Arabia permanently, citing the country’s peaceful environment and warm hospitality as key reasons behind his decision.
In a video message released by his club Al Nassr, the 40-year-old Portuguese forward said he and his family feel at home in the Kingdom and are very happy with their life there.
“Saudi Arabia is a safe and peaceful country. My family and I truly feel like we’re at home here,” Ronaldo said. “My family has always supported my decisions, and we’ve decided to build our life here.”

Ronaldo joined Al Nassr at the end of 2022 after parting ways with Manchester United and has now extended his contract with the club until 2027. The official announcement of the extension was made last Thursday.
Speaking about his goals, Ronaldo reaffirmed his commitment to winning a major title with Al Nassr.
He also revealed that he had turned down an offer to participate in the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup in the United States to focus on rest and preparation.
Calling the Saudi Pro League one of the world’s top five football leagues, Ronaldo predicted that the 2034 FIFA World Cup, set to be hosted by Saudi Arabia, would be the most spectacular tournament in history.
He also praised the local culture and the warmth of the Saudi people, saying their kindness has further strengthened his desire to settle in the country.
