The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to take strict action against those involved in the recent firing incident in Lower Kurram, ordering the evacuation of four villages—Ochat, Mandori, Dad Kamar, and Bagan.
According to sources, a high-level meeting was held to discuss the security situation in Kurram, where key decisions were made to restore peace. Officials briefed the meeting that the government had taken notice of Monday’s attack on convoys and resolved to launch an operation against the perpetrators.
To ensure civilian safety, the affected villages are being evacuated before the crackdown. Authorities confirmed that armed elements in these areas would be targeted in search operations.

Additionally, the meeting decided to place individuals involved in anti-state activities under Schedule IV and set bounties on the masterminds of the violence. Following the incident, the distribution of relief funds in Kurram has been temporarily halted.
It was also resolved that the demolition of bunkers (over 180 bunkers have been destroyed so far) in Kurram would be expedited, and efforts to disarm the region, in line with the peace agreement, would be strictly enforced. Peace committees formed under the agreement will be held accountable for fulfilling their responsibilities.
