Peshawar: Officials confirmed that a convoy of 120 trucks carrying essential food supplies has been dispatched to Kurram district, where a curfew remains in place.
According to the district administration, the convoy departed from Hangu en route to Parachinar. Authorities believe this supply mission will help alleviate severe shortages in the region.
It is important to note that all routes leading to Kurram, including the Peshawar-Parachinar Highway and border crossings with Afghanistan, have been closed for over four months due to deteriorating security conditions. The prolonged blockade has led to severe shortages of food, medicine, and fuel.
