PESHAWAR: Persistent power outages have made life miserable for Peshawar residents, with areas that have a 100% bill recovery rate also facing extended load-shedding, leaving many baffled.
In the Shahi Bagh sub-division, Kishwar Abad and Aamir Ayub Colony, on Charsadda Road, residents are enduring up to 12 hours of load-shedding, despite a 100% recovery of electricity bills. This situation has brought daily life to a standstill.

In response to the ongoing outages, residents held a protest yesterday, blocking Charsadda Road to all traffic. Similar demonstrations erupted in Peshawar’s Saddar and Nauthia areas, where residents, frustrated with relentless load-shedding and hefty electricity bills, voiced their grievances.
Protesters lamented that the excessive power cuts and inflated bills have crippled the community, with no resolution in sight. They demanded immediate government action to end load-shedding and ensure an uninterrupted electricity supply.
