BANNU: A terrorist attack on Bannu Cantonment during Iftar left 15 civilians dead and 25 injured as two explosives-laden vehicles were rammed into the cantonment's perimeter wall, security sources reported. The blasts caused a nearby house to collapse, killing and injuring innocent civilians, while a mosque also sustained damage.
According to security officials, six terrorists were neutralized by alert security personnel at multiple entry points, while the remaining attackers were cornered.

Sources stated that the terrorists' targeting of civilians and a mosque during Ramadan reflects their complete disconnect from Islam.
President Asif Ali Zardari strongly condemned the terrorist assault during Iftar, expressing deep sorrow over the loss of innocent lives. He called the attack a heinous act, emphasizing that the entire nation rejects such cowardly acts of terrorism.
