During the hearing of the TikToker Sana Yousaf murder case in the Islamabad District and Sessions Court, accused Umar Hayat recorded his statement under Section 342, rejecting all allegations and declaring the case false and fabricated.
During the proceedings, the accused initially refused to answer certain questions, maintaining that he would only speak in the presence of his lawyer. However, he later recorded a detailed statement before the court and denied all charges.
The accused told the court that he neither went to Sana Yousaf’s house nor rented any vehicle, and that his mobile phone had no connection to the theft or murder. According to him, he was arrested merely on suspicion and the entire case was based on a fabricated story.
During the hearing, the judge asked whether a rental vehicle had been obtained and payment made, to which the accused denied the claim, calling the rental agreement fake and alleging that the investigating officer had fabricated the case.
The accused further stated that he was arrested from Jaranwala, and that police took his photographs at the police station and later circulated them online. He also alleged that he was forced to confess during the investigation and made to place his thumbprint on blank papers.

Umar Hayat claimed that he was in Faisalabad at the time of the incident, while the identification parade and other evidence were fabricated. He also argued that the fingerprint evidence and location reports presented against him were inaccurate.
He further maintained before the court that the post-mortem report did not match the incident and that police had failed to present any concrete evidence, including CCTV footage.
During the hearing, the defense counsel requested that every statement conclude with the case being declared false, upon which the judge expressed displeasure and remarked that the court should not be dictated to.
After completing the recording of Umar Hayat’s statement under Section 342, the court adjourned further hearing of the case until tomorrow.
