A grand jirga was held at the Takiya Qaumi Markaz in Bar Qamberkhel, Bara tehsil of Khyber district, to promote peace and curb rising crime in the area. The event was attended by tribal elders, local dignitaries, representatives of the district administration, and a large number of residents.

Expressing deep concern over the surge in incidents of lawlessness, theft, robbery, drug trafficking, and killings, the jirga announced the formation of the Sharishta Ittehad Committee.

The committee will take action against aerial firing, drug dealing, immoral gatherings, and criminal elements to help restore order in the area.
