A civilian was killed and four others were injured in a quadcopter attack in the Baka Khel area of Bannu. According to the police, the attack took place within the jurisdiction of Baka Khel Police Station near Customs Baka Khel.

Police said an explosive shell dropped from a quadcopter exploded, killing Hatirullah, son of Gul Bahadur, on the spot. Four others—Saifullah, Asal Jan, Amirullah, and Shakir—were injured. The wounded were shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Bannu, where they are receiving medical treatment.

According to police, the deployment of anti-drone guns and other security measures at police stations, check posts, and other sensitive locations has foiled several attempts to target security forces using quadcopters. Initial reports suggest that the attackers targeted civilians after failing to strike their intended targets.

Following the incident, a heavy police contingent reached the site, cordoned off the area, and launched a search operation. Police said efforts are underway to arrest those involved in the attack.
