Similarly, heavy showers are expected in Kohistan, Torghar, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Kurram, and Mohmand.

These areas may witness thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds and heavy rainfall.

The Met Office has specifically warned of possible flooding in the Swat, Panjkora, and Kabul rivers due to the expected downpour.

Flash floods are also feared in the local streams of Swabi, Mardan, Mansehra, Kohistan, Dir, Shangla, and Waziristan.

Low-lying areas in Peshawar, Nowshera, Tank, and Dera Ismail Khan could also face waterlogging and urban flooding.

In addition, landslides may occur in the hilly regions of KP, potentially disrupting traffic and blocking roads.

Rain was recorded yesterday in several areas including Kalam, Saidu Sharif, Malam Jabba, Balakot, and Peshawar. Temperatures remained high in many parts of the province, with Dera Ismail Khan recording 41°C, Bannu and Mir Khani Chitral at 40°C, and Peshawar, Patan, Kohat, and Lower Chitral at 38°C.

In contrast, cooler temperatures were observed in Kalam (28°C), Malam Jabba (25°C), Dir (34°C), and Lower Dir (36°C).

The Meteorological Department has advised citizens to exercise caution and instructed relevant authorities to remain prepared for any emergency situation.
