The legal community in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has vowed to represent the Musa Khan case pro bono. Lawyers from across the province visited Malakand University, showing their solidarity with the Students' Jirga.

Among the visiting lawyers were the presidents of bar associations from Peshawar, Mardan, Dargai, Swat, Charsadda, Lower Dir, Upper Dir, and Malakand, alongside numerous other attorneys. They extended their condolences and support to the Students' Jirga and the Malakand University community following the tragic death of Musa Khan.

The legal fraternity condemned the Malakand University administration for their alleged mistreatment of Musa Khan and announced their intention to pursue the case in court. They affirmed their support for all demands made by the Jirga.

The lawyers called for a transparent and thorough investigation into the incident. They demanded the dismissal of the Vice-Chancellor, Provost-Chancellor, Chief Proctor, Provost, and Hostel Warden implicated in the Musa Khan case. Additionally, they urged the university to cease retaliatory actions against student organizations and advocated for non-teaching staff to hold administrative positions within the university.

The lawyers also expressed their intention to challenge these issues in court. They emphasized the importance of restoring students' unions and stopping all forms of harassment in educational institutions.

This movement follows an incident in which the University of Malakand administration in the Chakdara area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa issued show-cause notices to three students for bringing Rabab, a musical instrument, onto campus. These students were subsequently barred from returning to the hostel, resulting in one student's death in a traffic accident while seeking shelter with a friend for the night, and two others were injured. This tragedy sparked widespread protests and condemnation across the province.
