Introducing the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service in Regi Model Town brings much-needed relief to residents who have faced transportation challenges for the past 5 to 6 years. Various residential areas such as Askari 6, Police Colony, DHA, Regi Model Town, University Model Town, Shaikh Yaseen Town, and several small villages in Nasir Bagh have struggled with public transportation in recent years.
Ms. Saima, a Regi Model Town resident, shared her perseverance journey over the past 4 years. Despite the lengthy commute to her job in Cantt, which involved a 15 to 20-minute walk, using local public transport, and boarding the BRT bus, she never gave up.
Although it took her over an hour to reach her workplace, she remained determined. The commencement of the BRT service eventually brought her solace, relieving her of the tough routine. Her story is inspiring, showcasing her resilience in navigating obstacles and embracing the positive change brought by improved transportation options.

The new BRT service is expected to facilitate transit for all residents of Nasir Bagh Road in Peshawar, including women, children, the elderly, and those with disabilities, to other parts of the city. It promises a modern, efficient, and comfortable travel experience. The BRT service is anticipated to revolutionize daily commutes and significantly enhance the overall accessibility and connectivity of DHA and Regi Model Town in Peshawar.
Previously, students and workers struggled to commute to the main University Road, often using expensive private cabs. This reliance on private transport led to high commuting costs and inconvenience for many residents who did not have access to personal vehicles.
The government's proactive step to introduce the BRT service in Regi Model Town, DHA, and other areas along this route is a commendable initiative. This service aims to provide a more efficient and affordable transportation option for the residents, addressing the long-standing transportation challenges faced by the community.
