A high-level meeting chaired by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi was held to review the law and order situation, development programs, governance, and service delivery in the Malakand Division. The meeting included a detailed assessment of the overall security situation, ongoing development projects, and the provision of public services.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed police authorities to expedite investigations into attacks on parliamentarians in the Malakand Division. He emphasized that protecting the lives and property of citizens is the government's top priority and stated that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) are being further strengthened with modern weapons, equipment, and other essential resources.
The Chief Minister also instructed authorities to make coordinated and impartial operations against terrorism and narcotics more effective under the government's zero-tolerance policy, stressing that there would be no compromise on maintaining peace.

He further directed the timely release of full funding for the PEDS Hospital and Arshad Sharif University projects in Swat. Additionally, he ordered the establishment of workers' shelters across the Malakand Division and instructed officials to ensure the availability of cold drinking water and fans at public places.
The Chief Minister also directed the administration to further improve service delivery, make public satisfaction the primary measure of performance, and continue holding open public forums (Khuli Katcheries) to resolve citizens' issues promptly. He said that the true measure of the government's performance is the public's trust and prosperity.
During the briefing, officials informed the meeting that work is underway on 737 development schemes in the Malakand Division, with 99% of the allocated development funds already utilized. They also reported that the fortification of police buildings is ongoing, 14 police facilitation centers are operational, and three more centers are currently under construction.
