The Dera Ismail Khan Police have reported the death of two militants belonging to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Bali group following an exchange of fire between the police and the militants in Tehsil Paroa.
Police sources have identified the slain militants as Shoaib and Nauman. Both individuals were wanted by the police and security forces in connection with various criminal cases.
According to the police, Shoaib, who was involved in multiple terrorist incidents, had a reward of Rs 10 lakh placed on his head. During the exchange of fire, an innocent passerby sustained injuries and was subsequently transported to the district headquarters hospital by the police for medical treatment.

It's worth noting that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially the adjoining districts, has witnessed an increase in terrorist incidents this year. Law enforcement agencies, including the police and security forces, periodically conduct operations targeting militants.
Earlier this month, on the 15th, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) issued a list of 128 wanted militants, including their photographs and head bounties. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to combat militancy in the region.
