PESHAWAR – The Ministry of Interior has issued directives to intensify the crackdown on illegal foreign residents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and across Pakistan. Authorities have been instructed to gather comprehensive details of vehicles, properties, factories, and other assets registered under the names of illegal foreign nationals.
Additionally, the police department has been asked to provide information on the number of weapon licenses issued to foreigners, the crimes involving illegal residents, and the number of cases registered against them. The Home Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has directed the Excise, Taxation and Anti-Narcotics Department, Police Department, Industry Department, and Local Government to compile and submit these details at the earliest.

According to official documents, the Ministry of Interior has already blocked 6,304 illegal national identity cards nationwide, of which 2,361 belong to residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In line with the instructions, the KP Excise Department has identified 595 vehicles registered under these blocked identity cards. Registrations of vehicles under these blocked identity cards have also been canceled. The government has asked other relevant departments to submit their reports promptly.
Sources within the Excise Department indicated that actions will be taken against owners of vehicles registered under fake or blocked identity cards. Vehicles presented for token fee payment or transfer will be seized. According to these sources, vehicles, motorcycles, and other vehicles have been registered under fake identity cards across various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The government has urged various departments to expedite the process and submit their detailed reports to tighten the noose around illegally residing foreign nationals in the province.
